Jovana Trajcheva, born on 27th January 1994, had her first interaction with piano at the age of 7 under the mentorship of prof. Karmen Kostova and prof. Ljudmila Romanova at DMBUC Ilija Nikolovski Luj in Skopje. She graduated in 2015 at the Faculty of Music with distinction and highest grade under supervision of prof. Nina Kostova. Two years later she finished her master degree in the class of the same professor.
Her performances include concerts, solo recitals, concerts with symphony orchestra, piano accompaniment and piano duo. She participated at many festivals such as Musica Viva, Autumn Musical Festivities, Ohrid Summer Festival, Days of Macedonian Music in Skopje, Skopje Summer Festival, Zlatna Lira. She has also organized solo recitals throughout Macedonia and in 2018 in Paris (half recital with Nina Kostova). Amongst her more important performances are the concerts with the Macedonian Philharmonics and Orchestra (2015 and 2018), the Charity concert for SOS Children’s Village Skopje, her solo recital at St. Sofia church in Ohrid (2017) and the concert devoted to one of the most famous Macedonian composers Tomislav Zografski. She has cooperated with two of the well known Macedonian conductors: Le Fi Fi and Sasho Tatarchevski.
She has won many awards and prizes at national and international level: 2nd prize at the International Mozzartiana M Competition (2006), two 2nd prizes at the National Piano Competition (2007;2010), 3rd prize at the International Ohrid Pearls (2008), 1st prize at the Chopin and Schumann Competition (2010) where she also received a special award for best Schumann interpretation, 2nd and 3rd prize at the Polyphone manifestation (2012;2013), 3rd prize at the International Piano Competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina (2013), 2nd (and highest awarded) prize at the International Piano Competition Duo Piano in Monte Carlo (2013) and 3rd prize at the ENKOR International Piano Music Competition (2016).
She is a constant member at the seminars organized by prof. Boris Romanov and prof. Ljudmila Romanova. At present, she works in DMBUC Ilija Nikolovski Luj as a piano teacher and frequently organizes concerts throughout the country and out.
